A Danish Start-up Dedicated to the Black Swans of Life Science
Founded in June 2020, Black Swans Exist is the first Danish recruitment company dedicated solely to recruitment within the Life Science sector.
Amid a pandemic and during a global lockdown, our Co-Founder and Managing Director Per Christensen saw a gap in the Danish recruitment industry. From it, rose the idea of a company that met the exceedingly demanding and competitive requirements of the Life Science sector. Specialized in one segment and service, we concentrate on the problem-solving process of identifying rare, specialized, and extraordinary talent in Life Science.
This is the process we have dubbed The Black Swan Problem. As it turned out, our type of targeted service was in high demand. One man’s idea of a start-up quickly grew into a team of employees and continues to expand both in numbers and on scale.

We do this by identifying and placing dedicated and extraordinary talents, those we call Black Swans. By helping candidates unlock their potential, we want to play a part in improving the Life Science industry – for both candidates and companies.
Representing: We are Black Swan advocates and guide our candidates and clients to their next opportunity. Our ambition is to become the preferred recruitment partner for our clients and career partner for our candidates. We do not simply want to be a recruitment agency for a transaction-cost bargain. Our goal is to teach our partners how to recruit strategically and sustainably and to become long-term partners for clients and candidates alike.
