We’re assisting a forward-thinking biotech company leading in cancer immunotherapy and antibody development. Our mission is to revolutionize treatment options through groundbreaking research and strategic partnerships. To bolster the journey towards remarkable achievements, we seek an experienced and visionary Chair of the Board who will guide and support us toward significant fundraising and collaboration opportunities with big pharma.

 

Key Role:

The new Board Chair will play a pivotal role in steering the company through an exciting phase of growth and development. Working closely with the current Board and Founder, the Chair will focus on enhancing our fundraising capabilities and expanding our partnership horizon with leading pharmaceutical entities. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our strategic direction, ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead fundraising efforts, leveraging a strong network of venture capitalists and investors.
  • Utilize a robust network, preferably within the US, to connect with key stakeholders in VC and big pharma business development (BD).
  • Actively participate in selected meetings with VC, advocating for and representing the company’s interests and vision.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Board, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in cancer immunotherapy and antibody development is a must, along with the ability to engage in scientific discussions.
  • A seasoned professional with 15-30 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
  • A proven track record of successful fundraising endeavors, having served as a CEO, Executive Board member, or in a similar capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing and nurturing partnerships with big pharma, either as a CEO, in a BD role, or leading BD initiatives.
  • A strong and active networker with a rich connection base, particularly within the US, including VC and big pharma BD.

 

Desired Attributes:

  • Strong leadership qualities with a strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for advancing biotech innovations through strategic initiatives.
  • Ideally based in the US, although not mandatory.

 

Lower Priority (But Valued):

  • Experience as a VC partner.
  • An academic track record and scientific profile.
  • Connections to the Danish biotech ecosystem.
